Bles Park Walk Takes Place After a Good Migration Night

Nine birders come out to the Bles Park walk on September 27, our first walk there since the park reopened. The sky was gray but the rain held off, and the temperature was comfortable. Migration had been good overnight, and we had many warblers flying over, although most were too high to ID. The highlight of the walk was multiple Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, with good looks at both the male and female. The group also enjoyed seeing Magnolia, Black and White, Northern Parula, and Tennessee Warblers, as well as an American Redstart and a Philadelphia Vireo.
The checklist for all of the birds we found can be viewed on eBird at: https://ebird.org/checklist/S275775793.
Join us for our next walk at Bles Park on November 1.
