Margarita Carey joined The Downstream Project in October, serving  as Operations Manager and supporting the Executive Director in coordinating conservation and communication initiatives. Before joining Downstream in 2025, she spent nearly two decades with The Conservation Fund, first as Program Associate with the Conservation Leadership Network and later as Operations Manager for Conservation Services.
