2023 Birdathon Team Summaries
Check out what’s happening with the 2023 Birdathon teams and other Celebrate Birds events. Remember, it’s not too late to form your own team and join the fun. And don’t forget to donate to support your favorite team.
Ten birders joined us on the Loudoun Wildlife birdwalk at Broad Run Stream Valley Park in Brambleton on Saturday April 29 as part of Celebrate Birds. We recorded 59 species in almost four hours. The loudounwildlife BIRDATHON is here again, and this is the biggest, most important, and most fun fundraiser for the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy.
We will be birding in early May, and hoping to see another 100 species in Loudoun in a 48 hr period. Our team, the Whisky Drinking Warbler Watchers, will once again vie for first place (we came in 2nd last year)!
Please consider donating to this lovely charity (fully tax deductible) which helps support wildlife in Loudoun county, education, advocacy for green spaces, stream monitoring, and so so so much more.

Birds Aren’t Real Team Has a Quick Birdathon Between the Storms
Birds Aren’t Real, the Myers family team consisting of Scarlett, Jessie and Michael decided to conduct an impromptu Birdathon during the April 29-30 weekend despite the rainy weather forecast.
