BRCA Receives Technical Assistance Grant from National Park Service
In October 2019, BRCA was awarded technical assistance through the National Park Service’s River, Trails and Conservation Assistance Program (RTCA). The Alliance will have the support of an experienced NPS Outdoor Recreation Planner to strengthen BRCA organizational capacity by working with the Steering Committee, partners, and communities to identify, plan and address the challenges organizations and the Blue Ridge face. After a successful year of gathering partners for education, networking and information exchange, RTCA will assist BRCA in moving to the next level of talking with communities and helping to strengthen organizations’ conservation efforts.
“The National Park Service Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program supports community-led natural resource conservation and outdoor recreation projects across the nation.
