Double Your Impact for Wildlife: All Gifts Matched Up To $20,000!
Wildlife habitat needs your support now more than ever — and thanks to a group of generous LWC donors, all gifts made through Dec. 31 will be MATCHED up to $20,000!
That means any gift you give — big or small — will be doubled, instantly doubling the impact of that gift.
See just a few examples below of what Loudoun Wildlife supporters made possible this year: safeguarding our streams, connecting our kids to the benefits of outdoor learning, protecting species, restoring habitat, contributing vital data to broader scientific studies, advocating for our natural world here at home, and so much more. Your year-end support will inspire even greater impact in 2026!
Become a “Force of Nature” today. Make your gift, double your impact, and help protect the wildlife that makes Loudoun County so special, not just for today, but for generations to come.
Here are just a few examples of what our supporters made possible in 2025!
Our Peterson Young Naturalist Program and Nature-Based Learning initiatives inspired 164 teachers to engage more than 10,000 K-12 students with the proven mental and physical benefits of outdoor learning.
Our Stream Monitoring Program conducted a record 50 biological stream surveys this year and released our first-ever Loudoun Streams Report Card.
We set volunteer records in 2025 with more than 740 volunteers (up from 625 in 2024) donating more than 15,000 hours to our mission.
Our Bluebird Program is the largest in the state, monitoring 63 trails and 753 nest boxes. The program has fledged more than 44,000 birds, including 22,500 bluebirds.
Our JK Black Oak Wildlife Sanctuary now supports over 1,000 species, including the confirmed presence of the endangered Northern Long-eared Bat.
Our Birdathon was the largest ever, with 77 people over 18 teams identifying 160 species, many of which have made remarkable recoveries.
We delivered nearly 180 free educational programs to more than 7,500 attendees this year, covering a wide range of environmental and conservation topics.
Five of the bills we supported this year were codified into law at the Virginia General Assembly, protecting clean water, endangered species, wetlands, and more.
Restoration at JK Black Oak contributed to a 33 percent increase in butterfly species and nearly triple the butterfly population on the property this year.
Our Salt Watch Monitoring program now contributes more than a staggering 27 percent of the national data submitted to the Izaak Walton League of America.
