Clark's Run WWTF Discharge Pipe

Clark’s Run Wastewater Treatment Facility Discharge Pipe

Measured E. coli concentrations in the final effluent from the discharge pipe of the Clark’s Run Wastewater Treatment Facility starting in October 2021. The Virginia DEQ facility discharge permit limit of 126 CFU is exceeded in 3 out of 24 sampling events, with one of these events having a value 192 times the permit limit.

Loudoun Wildlife is grateful to Friends of the Shenandoah River for providing the baseline E. coli data from February 2022 for this project.
