7. Clark’s Run 1
Measured E. coli concentrations in Clark’s Run 1 starting in October 2021. Since April 2022, the Virginia DEQ single sample recreational use threshold of 235 CFU is continuously exceeded at values up to 16 times the threshold.
Loudoun Wildlife is grateful to Friends of the Shenandoah River for providing the baseline E. coli data from February 2022 for this project.
