SUMMARY:Virtual Annual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nThere is a bold\, daring new vision for land stewardship emerging across the U.S.\, and Bill Labich literally wrote the book. Regional conservation partnerships\, or RCPs\, challenge organizations and agencies to think and plan together at landscape scale to address pressing needs with collaborative vision and actions. Bill is Senior Conservationist at the Highstead Foundation and author of The Regional Conservation Partnership Handbook: Ten Steps to Effective and Enduring Collaborative Conservation at Scale. Bill coordinates the RCP Network and the Northeast Forest Network\, and co-coordinates the Northern Appalachian Trail Landscape Partnership — all three of which he co-founded. \nBill Labich \nThe Blue Ridge Conservation Alliance\, a regional partnership focusing on five counties from Front Royal\, Va.\, to Harpers Ferry\, W.Va.\, is thrilled to host Bill Labich at our October 29 annual meeting. Bill will outline the steps for successful collaboration and share lessons from coordinating RCPs — including RCPs of RCPs!  Now\, as BRCA is developing a strategic plan for collaboration\, is the perfect time for BRCA partners to think about the big questions on our landscape: What can we do together that we can’t do alone\, and how do we organize to get those things done? Read more about Bill here.[/vc_column_text]Register[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\n\n\nIt’s a free\, virtual event.\n\n\nAfter Bill’s presentation\, there will be time for Q and A and a short break. Then we will break out into groups to put what we learned into actions. \n1 p.m. — 2:30 p.m. \nIntroductions:\nRCP’s: What They Are and How They Work to Drive Action\nQ and A\n2:30 p.m. — 4 p.m.\nBreakout groups and discussion:\nExploring RCP applications for our region\nWrap-Up\n\nQuestions\, please reply to this email or contact:\nTracy Lind\, Piedmont Environmental Council\ntlind@pecva.org or 540-243-3447\n\nBlue Ridge Conservation Alliance Mission: Through collective action leverage the conservation efforts of organizations dedicated to preserving and protecting a highly threatened portion of the Blue Ridge Mountains stretching from Shenandoah National Park to the Potomac River.\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
